Summer of Shred 2008 with Phil Sundbaum.
February 21, 2008Published by summerofshredAfter being signed with Haro Bikes, Phil Sundbaum is participating in the 2008 Sumer of Shred tour, where he will travel around the world, riding with the best riders in each discipline of the sport. First stop, The Unit skate park with Eric Porter, and none other than Ryan Nyquist.
This year is going to be a wild one for Phil Sundbaum. Not only did he get picked up by Haro Bicycles for 2008, but he's also been picked as the featured athlete on the Summer Of Shred, a tour that was put together by Aaron Lutze (the creator of the match videozine DVD series) and TAOW. Phil is going to be stretching beyond his normal routine of skateparks and dirt jumps into the rest of the mountain bike world through 2008 via the Summer Of Shred world tour. The Summer Of Shred is going to send Phil around the world to meet the best riders in each discipline of bike riding. Phil will spend a week learning each riding style (downhill, all-mountain, etc) with the best rider in that area, while the entire process is captured on video and photo. With all of the emphasis on racing and freeride contests lately, the Summer Of Shred promises to be a breath of fresh air and an opportunity to bring all bike riders back together regardless of their riding style or discipline. Phil started his 2008 year with a very special visit to meet and ride with his new Haro teammates. While the Summer Of Shred tour is focused on mountain biking, Phil couldn't resist an opportunity to ride with some of the best bmxers on the planet. Ryan Nyquist and Colin Mackay welcomed Sundbaum and his other Haro mtb teammate Eric Porter into The Unit for a week of private sessions.  Meet the Crew The Unit is a special ramp facility designed and owned by bmx pro Ryan Nyquist. Sundbaum and Porter were the first two mountain bikers to ever ride The Unit, and they did it justice! I wasn't really too sure what to expect, riding wise, from these guys. But when it came down to it, I was pretty impressed. Eric Porter and Phil Sundbaum rode the Unit just as good, if not better than a lot of first timers who have ridden the Unit, said Nyquist.  T-Whip that Hip Phil Sundbaum will be rejoining his Haro teammate Eric Porter in a matter of weeks for an adventure through New Zealand and Australia. They will be bringing their all-mountain bikes to tour through the New Zealand countryside with Justin Leov as a tour guide, and then they'll break out their freeride bikes for some serious sessions at the Frew Farm. They'll also be exploring the country to find some untapped terrain so they can continue to push the limits of freeride around the world. Keep your eyes out for Phil Sundbaum and the Summer Of Shred tour, as they tour the globe learning about mountain biking and sharing it with the masses. unit is ryan nyquist's personal park. its in grenville I believe.
the guy asked a simple question why did he get negative props like f*ck this is probably gonna get tones cause i made a good point and stuck up for someone
